Greetings to friends, colleagues and fellow transportation industry professionals!
First and foremost, I hope this message finds you and those you cherish healthy!
We have, regretfully, decided to postpone this year’s 2020 Transportation Summer Camp until July 7-9, 2021, in the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Believe me, I held off making this call for as long as possible. If you’ve experienced our programs in years past, you already know that one of the biggest takeaways is truly the exceptional networking opportunities throughout those three days. You also know that maximum return on your time and dollar is paramount to me. After much debate and reflection, we feel this is the right decision.
However, you can rest assured that I will always try to create a “silver lining”! So, I am working with my valued partners at DOT and every mode of transportation to finalize details on a forum in Orlando, this September 16th and 17th, called “TRANSPORTATION WORKS…TOGETHER” that will give you a real opportunity to get the latest information on where we are now, as an industry, and where each sector is planning to be post-pandemic. It will provide the robust networking with the decision-makers of transportation that you have come to expect from the postponed 2020 Transportation Summer Camp. Watch for the details and the registration link to that important event next week! Sponsorships are available, so please give me a call at (850) 933-1386 to get onboard!
Now, let me provide some immediate answers to your questions:
Q: I’ve already paid for registration for this year’s camp. Can I get a refund?
The short answer is, “yes”. However, there are 3 options: (1) request a full refund; (2) roll your registration over to the 2021 Transportation Summer Camp in Boca Raton, possibly saving money in your 2021 budget; or (3) donate your registration fee to Floridians for Better Transportation (a worthy non-profit!). SPECIAL NOTE: We will automatically roll your 2020 registration fee into next year’s conference on Monday, June 22 unless you notify us that you prefer option 1 or 3 prior to that date.
Q: What do I do about my room reservation at the Boca Raton Resort & Club?
Nothing! The Boca Raton Resort & Club will cancel all reservations made for our conference on Monday, June 15. SPECIAL NOTE: That amazing resort, however, has graciously offered to allow anyone who had planned to attend 2020 TSC to enjoy a stay at the special conference room rate during the month of July! Now how is that for another “silver lining”? To make a new reservation, contact Timothy Holmes or Ximena Coca at 561-447-3774 or email them at BocaVIPReservations@waldorfastoria.com.
In closing, thank you for understanding and your ongoing support. If you have any additional questions, thoughts, or ideas, please shoot me a quick email. I’ll look forward to seeing all of you, both healthy and happy, in September in Orlando! Mark your calendars now to hold the dates!
Remember, transportation is always “ESSENTIAL”, and better days are ahead!
