Division Administrator Federal Highway Administration, Florida, Puerto Rico & Virgin Islands 

Mr. Jamie Christian was appointed as the FHWA Division Administrator for Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and provides executive leadership over a $2.2 Billion Federal-aid program. Mr. Christian leads a multi-disciplinary professional staff in several locations throughout Florida and Puerto Rico where he works with state and local partners and stakeholders.   

Mr. Christian has held leadership positions with FHWA across the country. Most recently he served as the FHWA Division Administrator in Utah where he partnered with the Utah DOT in a national deployment of accelerated bridge technologies and innovative project delivery practices. Mr. Christian has over 28 years of experience in the transportation industry working throughout the United States.  

Mr. Christian holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois.
