Floridians for Better Transportation (FBT) was originally founded in 1988 as a private sector advocacy group to support public efforts to secure adequate funding to meet the ever-expanding transportation needs of our state. Over the course of the past three decades, FBT has established itself as a consistent and steadfast voice advocating for transportation issues at the state and federal levels. The members have stood united for sufficient and sustainable transportation funding, efficient mobility for residents, visitors and commerce, and for safe and reliable infrastructure to support a dynamic economy.
Providing timely information on issues impacting the transportation industry is one of the keystones of FBT. Members can expect to find reliable data and factual information on changes happening within the industry that impact their daily lives and drive long term policy.
FBT brings together all modes of transportation and representatives of the public and private sectors for collaborative discussion and informed decision making on issues related to the mobility of people and goods. FBT routinely engages with legislators, transportation providers, economic development professionals, academia, engineering firms, constructors, planners and public agency officials to support formation of cohesive long-range goals and policies relating to transportation funding, safety, security and technological advances. That role is more important today than ever before!
